Our Role
The Jane Foundation operates this website as an informational resource. We act as the data controller for any personal data submitted through the contact form. We do not run ad tech, analytics trackers, or behavioural profiling scripts.
Lawful Basis
We collect form submissions under the legitimate interest of responding to your enquiry. You choose to send us the message, and we only use the data to continue that conversation.
Data Collected
- Contact details you provide (name, email, organisation, message content)
- Cloudflare Turnstile token proving the submission came from a human visitor
No other identifiers or metadata are captured. We do not store IP addresses for analytics and we do not share data with third-party marketing platforms.
Storage & Retention
Messages are stored in an encrypted email inbox and internal ticketing workspace hosted within the EU/UK. Access is restricted to stewards who need the information to reply. Threads are reviewed quarterly and removed when no longer required.
Your Rights
You can exercise the following at any time:
- Access – request a copy of the conversation we hold
- Rectification – correct inaccurate information
- Erasure – ask us to delete a thread
- Restriction – limit how we use the data while an issue is resolved
- Objection – stop all future communication
Contact us and we will respond within 72 hours.
Processors
Our only sub-processor for this site is Cloudflare, which provides Turnstile anti-bot protection and basic edge security. No marketing pixels, cookies, or telemetry tools are loaded.
Questions
If you have concerns about compliance, email privacy@janefoundation.org. For EU/UK residents, you may also raise a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
